SK Guns Unveils Stunning “Lost State of Montezuma” Colt 1911 in Limited-Edition Series

A custom 1911 handgun.

SK Guns introduces the fourth chapter of its acclaimed “Lost States of America” Series.

This edition honors James Gadsden and the unrealized state of Montezuma, now southern Arizona and New Mexico. Featuring only 200 Colt 1911 Full-Size Government Models in .45 ACP, this limited run is a collector’s dream.

The “Lost State of Montezuma” celebrates a mid-19th-century proposal that never came to fruition. Stemming from the Gadsden Purchase, it reflects America’s ambitious territorial growth. Consequently, this firearm pays tribute to a fascinating slice of history.

James Gadsden, born in 1788 in South Carolina, was a pivotal figure in U.S. expansion. A soldier and diplomat, he negotiated the 1853 Gadsden Purchase with Mexico. This deal added 30,000 square miles, shaping Arizona and New Mexico’s borders. Additionally, it paved the way for a southern railroad.

“James Gadsden’s legacy deserves recognition,” said Simon Khiabani, SK Guns® founder. “His work redefined our nation’s geography and infrastructure potential. Although Montezuma never became a state, it symbolizes America’s bold evolution.”

This Colt 1911 dazzles with intricate slide artwork. For instance, the Palo Verde tree and American Bald Eagle grace the design. Meanwhile, Mexico’s Gold Eagle joins the New Mexico motto “Crescit Eundo” and Arizona’s “Ditat Deus.” These elements shine in 24k gold.

The right slide showcases the Gadsden Purchase signing, a historic moment of diplomacy. Above, a portrait of Gadsden and the “Lost State of Montezuma” title sit beneath the Manifest Destiny symbol. Finally, Desert Ironwood grips from Arizona’s Sonora Desert complete this masterpiece.

Pre-order this exclusive firearm now for $2,900.00, with shipping starting late May 2025. Visit the SK Guns® pre-order page (insert-link-here) to secure yours. Also, follow SK Guns® on Instagram (insert-link) and Facebook (insert-link) for updates.

This release blends history, craftsmanship, and firepower into a must-have for enthusiasts. Don’t miss out on owning a piece of America’s untold story.
