Hunters, get ready for the 2025 fall draw!

The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) offers expert tips to streamline your hunt permit application for deer, turkey, javelina, bighorn sheep, bison, and sandhill crane. Follow these steps to ensure a seamless process and boost your chances of securing a permit.

Create an AZGFD Portal Account

First, set up an AZGFD portal account at accounts.azgfd.com/Account/Register. This is essential, as draw results are exclusively posted here. Moreover, family account features allow everyone, including youth, to check results instantly.

Verify Your Portal Account Details

Next, log into your AZGFD portal account via www.azgfd.gov. Review your personal data, application history, and bonus points. If issues arise, contact AZGFD at 602-942-3000, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Secure a Valid Arizona Hunting License

Additionally, you need a valid Arizona hunting or combination hunt and fish license by June 3, 2025. Purchase licenses online or at AZGFD offices. License dealers now use AZGFD’s online system, listed at www.azgfd.com/license/. Save your receipt, as the license number is crucial for applications.

Locate Your Customer ID

Furthermore, your Customer ID is mandatory for applications. Find it in your AZGFD portal account under “My AZGFD Dashboard,” on your online-purchased license, or via customerlookup.azgfd.com. Alternatively, call AZGFD for assistance.

Download the Arizona E-Tag App

Also, download the Arizona E-Tag app from Apple or Google Play stores. This app delivers licenses and tags in real time. Additionally, it allows electronic tagging and hunter questionnaire completion. Ensure you update to the latest version for compatibility.

Consider PointGuard for Flexibility

Moreover, purchasing PointGuard Plus or standard PointGuard protects your bonus points. If you surrender your permit for any reason, your points are reinstated. A portal account isn’t required for this purchase.

Opt for Text-Based Hunter Questionnaires

Additionally, during the application, enter your phone number to receive a hunter questionnaire via text. This convenient feature simplifies post-hunt reporting on your mobile device.
Mark Your Calendar for the Draw

Finally, stay tuned for AZGFD’s announcement on the 2025 fall draw opening. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. (Arizona time) on June 3, 2025. Check AZGFD’s website and social media for updates.

By following these tips, hunters can navigate the 2025 fall draw with confidence. For more details, visit www.azgfd.gov. Happy hunting!
