Here’s the Rub, a Birmingham-based subscription box service announces its official launch.

Here’s the Rub monthly barbecue subscription boxes bring small-scale rural America rubs and sauces to subscribers’ front doors.

Each month, subscribers receive a box from a different state containing three local rubs or sauces. The rubs and sauces come from small-town humble BBQ joints, local pit masters and talented home chefs. The products are packed within the month’s choice of custom Ozark wood chips and topped off with a grilling plank and a booklet containing the stories behind the products. These stories of family legacies and well-guarded secrets are written, packaged and shared with subscribers because delicious food only gets better when there’s lore and history to go with it.

Customer reviews:

“I received my first ‘Here’s the Rub’ box and was really pleased. So far I’ve used everything but the plank. I smoked several butts over the 4th and used the apple packing chips to rest one of the butts on ( using an old school stick burning smoker ), and I highly recommend trying that.” – Lamar

“The presentation of the ‘Here’s the Rub’ box is incredible! The inclusion of the wood chips is an amazing touch, and we’ve never seen anything quite like it before. Quality is awesome – each sauce is a passion project and for many, it took years of perfecting. The curation is great. We love that each month is a new state. It’s a journey of flavor and a great way to see different areas’ takes on the flavors of barbecue!” – Asheli

The subscription costs just $34.95 a month. The first box ships within one day of ordering and shipping is always free. Those who love what they’ve tasted can purchase more of a specific rub, sauce or smoking wood chips/chunks fromherestherub.com.
