Create Cakes, Cupcakes and Breads in the CanCooker

Just in time for the holiday season, CanCooker, Inc., the company that reinvented the old-fashioned-creamery-style can as a portable convection oven that steam-cooks a complete meal in an hour, has introduced new CanCooker recipes to make single-serve cakes, cupcakes and mini loaves of specialty bread. Not only do these delicious treats cook faster in a CanCooker, but the finished products are moister than if they were baked in a conventional oven or a microwave.

CanCooker makes it easy and safe for everyone to participate in the creation of delicious confectionary delights. Simply prepare the batter according to the instruction on the mix box. Insert the 2-piece CanCooker rack into the CanCooker, and add 12 oz. of water. Fill the following common cooking vessels with your batter or dough, and place them on the rack for the prescribed steaming times:

For single-serve cakes: Use four small ramekins. Steam for 15 minutes.

For cupcakes: Use six paper cupcake molds inside rigid foil cupcake baking cups. Steam for 15 minutes.
For mini bread loaves: use two mini loaf pans. Steam for 40 minutes.

Latch the lid and let the CanCooker do its magic. You can make multiple batches, just be sure that the water level is always just below the rack. To ensure that your cake is done, simply insert a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean, it is done; just let it cool, frost and serve.

Whether you have unexpected guests, want to make a special treat with the kids after dinner or just enjoy really moist, easy-to-make, great-tasting cakes, cupcakes and breads, CanCooker is the go-to for desserts this holiday season.

Headquartered in Fremont, NE, CanCooker, Inc., introduced Seth McGinn’s CanCooker, a unique outdoor cooking device that allows you to cook a lot of food without a lot of work, in 2009. CanCooker has expanded its food preparation product line with the introduction of the Plank Foldable Cutting Board and Multi-Fuel Portable Cooktop.
