Team Benelli Shooters Claim Top-10 Finishes at Rocky Mountain 3-Gun Championship

Team Benelli 3-Gun shooters went 6-for-6 with Top-10 finishes in their respective divisions at the recent Rocky Mountain 3-Gun Championship. One of the team’s favorite competitions of the year, the RM3G is staged at the NRA Whittington Center near Raton, N.M., and utilizes the area’s altitude and rugged terrain to build unique courses of fire that challenge shooters and their equipment.

“If the Rocky Mountain 3-Gun Championship were an Olympic gymnastics routine, its difficulty level would be the highest,” said Team Benelli Captain Dianna Muller, who finished second Lady Open Division. “But I’m proud of our Team Benelli shooters for turning in strong, Top-10 performances to finish in the top of their divisions.”

The demanding conditions of this year’s Rocky Mountain 3-Gun Championship included blowing dust, hailstorms and mud in conjunction with the 7,000-foot elevation, which affects shooters as well as shooting trajectories. Shooting their Benelli M2 shotguns, all six Team Benelli shooters benefitted from the accuracy and dependability of their shotguns in claiming their high places of finish.

“My Benelli M2 ran like a sewing machine, working flawlessly without a single hiccup,” said Team Benelli shooter, Nate Staskiewicz, who finished third out of 126 shooters in the Limited Scope Division. “Through the hail storm and the fine dust blowing all over the range – nothing affected it.”

New for 2016, Benelli’s updated Performance Shop M2 3-Gun Edition aids multi-gun and tactical shotgun competitors by pushing the limits of reliability and functional design. With a redesigned loading port for greater efficiency when quad loading, an XS express rear sight for slug accuracy and a port caddy for a spare shell, the Benelli Performance Shop M2 3-Gun Edition extends the M2’s reputation as the shotgun of choice for the world’s most successful 3-Gun competitors.
