Hardcore Carnivore on Outdoor Channel
Join Jess Pryles, professional carnivore and chef, as she explores the world of hunting, butchering, and cooking all types of protein in her new original series, Hardcore Carnivore, airing on Outdoor Channel Mondays at 9:30 p.m. ET. Hardcore Carnivore is part of the network’s “Taste of the Wild” Monday night lineup. On this coming Monday, October 28, Jess heads to Oklahoma with her friend Nick to hunt one of the state’s estimated 1.5 million feral hogs. Known for its intense, sweet, and nutty flavor, wild boar meat will be transformed into a delicious meal using Jess and Nick’s culinary expertise – and maybe a bit of Pendleton Whisky to accompany the meal.
Hardcore Carnivore, in partnership with Pendleton Whisky, dives deep into the world of meat—from commercial to small farm meat raising—and explores the best ways to hunt, butcher, and cook all types of protein.
If the name “Hardcore Carnivore” rings a bell, it’s because Pryles also started a seasoning company of the same name about eight years ago.
“The spices allowed us to say, ‘Here put this on your steak. This is what I think steak should taste like,” Pryles shares. “We are in stores like Academy, Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, Faraway Meats and across the world. When I first put the rub out, I crossed my fingers thinking that if my core customers who buy T-shirts will buy this rub it will be a fun experiment. Here we are with nine seasonings in the line and a full line of accessories that are all created by me based off things that I use in my kitchen.”
Jess Pryles is a Hardcore Carnivore and she’s traveling the country where she’ll meet up with locals specializing in her favorite proteins. From dove hunting in Texas to harvesting Bison in Wisconsin and the delicious meals that she teaches us how to cook, it’s an epic meat-eating adventure like no other.
