Tanfoglio Pugio

Introducing the Tanfoglio Pugio, imported exclusively by the Italian Firearms Group, a modern homage to the classic 1911 design, optimized for concealed carry and self-defense.

Inspired by the ancient Roman Pugio dagger, known for its precision and ease of concealment, this pistol combines historical essence with cutting-edge technology.

The Tanfoglio Pugio is a breakthrough in compact firearms, featuring a lightweight yet durable fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame paired with a precision-engineered polygonal bull barrel, CNC-machined from a Lothar Walther tube. This pistol is chambered in the widely favored 9×19 caliber, offering both strength and reduced weight, which translates to exceptional accuracy and reliability.

Engineered for the modern shooter, the Pugio includes a double steel chassis for enhanced durability and a lightweight steel slide with rear serrations for quick and easy slide manipulation. The one-piece steel guide rod contributes to the pistol’s long-lasting performance.

Customization is key with the Pugio, as it comes with interchangeable front sights for precision tuning and an integrated Picatinny rail for attaching tactical accessories. An optics-ready variant is also available, supporting the RMS footprint for red dot optics, enhancing its appeal for those who demand adaptability in their gear.

Specifications:

  • Caliber: 9×19
  • Capacity: 10 rounds (AFC Mil Spec finish)
  • Barrel: CNC-Machined Polygonal Bull Barrel (Lothar Walther)
  • Dimensions: Length 7.28″, Height 5.12″, Width 1.10″
  • Weight: 1.74 lbs.
  • Frame: Fiberglass-Reinforced Polymer with Anti-Slip Texture
  • Slide: Lightweight Steel with Rear Serrations
  • Sights: Fixed Rear, Interchangeable Front, Optional Optics Ready Version (RMS Footprint)
  • Trigger: Single Action Steel Trigger
  • Safety: Thumb Safety, Extended Beavertail Grip Safety
  • Accessories: Includes 2 Magazines, Cleaning Kit, and Hard Plastic Case

Pricing:

MSRP: $660.00 ($680.00 for Optics Ready Version)

Conclusion:

The Tanfoglio Pugio is not just a firearm; it’s a testament to precision engineering tailored for superior handling and performance. Whether for self-defense or as a reliable everyday carry pistol, the Pugio stands out with its Roman-inspired design, ready for action right out of the box with two magazines, a cleaning kit, and a hard plastic case.
