Century Arms and Sharps Bros Unveil the MB47
A Modern Take on the Classic AK Platform
Century Arms continues to innovate within the AK platform by teaming up with John Sharps of Sharps Bros to create the all-new MB47—a cutting-edge, US-made AK47 with a milled receiver. The MB47 is the latest addition to Century Arms’ ever-evolving lineup of American-made AK47s.
Built on a case-hardened billet 4140 milled receiver with a manganese phosphate finish, the MB47 comes optic-ready with a side mount. Chambered in 7.62x39mm, it ships with a 30-round US Palm magazine. The rifle features top-tier components, including the newly designed US Palm free-float MLOK handguard, Ultimak gas tube rail, RAK-1 Enhanced Flat Trigger, and a Century Arms US chevron compensator. The compensator is mounted on a 5/8×24 threaded, fluted, and chrome-lined 16.25-inch barrel. For added versatility, the MB47 is equipped with a Magpul DT carbine stock and an AR-15 mil-spec buffer tube.
“When we looked to the future of Sharps Bros, we wanted to partner with a company that had deep-rooted experience in the industry,” said John Sharps of Sharps Bros. Collaborating with Century Arms was the perfect fit.” This partnership showcases how tradition and innovation merge in the MB47.
The MB47 will begin shipping to customers on October 1, 2024. For more details, visit Century Arms MB47.
