A Ruger 1911.

As a lifelong fan of Ruger and a lover of all things outdoors, I’m excited to share the latest from Sturm, Ruger & Company. They’ve just announced a truly special lineup: the SR1911 “Street Edition” series. This isn’t just another pistol release—it’s a tribute to Ruger’s proud manufacturing heritage, and it’s got the kind of details that any true Ruger enthusiast is going to appreciate.

The first model in this series will hit the market in November, and it’s more than just a firearm—it’s a celebration of Ruger’s 75th anniversary. This pistol will be engraved with the 75th anniversary logo and “75 Station St.,” the address of the legendary Red Barn, where it all began for Ruger. For anyone who knows and loves the history of this iconic American brand, this is a must-have.

But it doesn’t stop there. Ruger will continue the “Street Edition” series at the end of 2024 with four more models, each one representing a different Ruger facility across the U.S. From Southport, CT to Prescott, AZ, each pistol will carry the street name of its respective facility proudly engraved on the slide. They’re limiting production to just 500 of each model, so if you’re looking to grab a piece of Ruger history, you’ll want to move fast.

Each of these Commander-Style SR1911s is chambered in .45 Auto, with a 4.25” stainless steel barrel, and the slide is engraved with incredible detail, featuring the Ruger logo and the American bald eagle—a symbol of freedom that couldn’t be more fitting. Plus, the Novak 3-Dot sights make it a breeze to get on target quickly.

These aren’t just firearms; they’re a celebration of American craftsmanship and a nod to Ruger’s storied past. I, for one, can’t wait to get my hands on one!
