Two smart watches.

Garmin has launched the tactix 8, a groundbreaking tactical smartwatch designed for those who live for the mission. Available in both 47mm and 51mm sizes, this device introduces rucking and diving activities, enhancing its utility on land, air, or sea.

Field-Ready Durability and Features

The tactix 8 is built tough with a U.S. military standard (MIL-STD-810) for thermal, shock, and water resistance. Its 40-meter dive rating and leakproof buttons ensure it’s ready for deep-sea adventures. With an AMOLED display, expect up to 16 days of battery life, while the solar model can last up to 48 days.

“Whether you’re training or on a mission, the tactix 8’s design and features make it the ultimate tactical GPS smartwatch,” says Dan Bartel, Garmin’s VP of Global Consumer Sales.

  • Advanced Design: Choose between 51mm or the new 47mm case with leakproof buttons. A titanium bezel and sapphire lens ensure durability.
  • Built-in Communication: Use the speaker and mic for phone calls or voice commands without needing your phone.
  • Dive Capabilities: Supports scuba and apnea diving up to 40 meters.
  • Rucking: Input pack weight for better exertion tracking during rucking activities.
  • Ballistic Solutions: Preloaded with Applied Ballistics® solvers for long-range shooting accuracy.
  • Display Options: Opt for AMOLED or solar for extended battery life and enhanced visibility.

Navigation and Mapping

Navigate like a pro with TopoActive maps and customize your map layers. The watch’s SatIQ technology optimizes GPS accuracy and battery life. Plan or sync courses directly from Garmin Connect for precise navigation.

Night Operations and Stealth

A multi-LED flashlight aids in night operations, with NVG mode for low visibility. Stealth Mode keeps your location private, perfect for sensitive missions.

Training for Peak Performance

Enhance your physical readiness with tailored strength plans, real-time stamina tracking, and sports apps. Daily health insights include sleep analysis and heart rhythm monitoring via the ECG app.

Diving Redefined

Explore underwater with confidence; the tactix 8 supports scuba diving with multiple gas mixes and apnea diving with alert timers.

Aviation Ready

Direct-to-navigation and real-time weather updates make this watch a pilot’s companion. Jumpmaster mode is included for airborne operations.

The tactix 8 is available to order from February 21st at Garmin.com, with prices starting at $1,299.99.
