A Compact Powerhouse for Home Defense and Range Use

Building on the renowned legacy of the FN SCAR family, FN America, LLC proudly announces the release of the FN SCAR 15P chambered in .300 Blackout. This highly anticipated semiautomatic pistol is modeled after the military and law enforcement-focused FN SCAR-SC personal defense weapon, making it an ideal choice for home and personal defense or for everyday range use.

Initially launched in late 2022 in 5.56x45mm, the FN SCAR 15P now features a version chambered in .300 Blackout, fully optimized for the caliber. This includes gas regulator settings for both subsonic and supersonic ammunition, a .30 caliber flash hider, and a dedicated magazine to ensure peak performance with every shot.

Benjamin Voss, Sr. Product Manager of Long Guns at FN America, emphasized the SCAR platform’s reputation: “The SCAR family is known for its uncompromising reliability, durability, and accuracy. We’re proud to say that the FN SCAR 15P in .300 Blackout continues to expand the platform while delivering a shooting experience worthy of the SCAR name.”

Key Features of the FN SCAR 15P in .300 Blackout

  • Caliber-Optimized Performance: With .300 Blackout specifically designed for short-barreled firearms, the FN SCAR 15P excels in both flexibility and mobility. The 7.5-inch barrel and compact size make it perfect for close-quarters defense, while the gas regulator ensures smooth cycling of subsonic and supersonic rounds.
  • Lightweight and Compact: Weighing in at just 5.65 pounds unloaded and measuring under 20 inches in length, the SCAR 15P is incredibly easy to handle and maneuver, especially in tight spaces, making it ideal for personal defense.
  • Multi-Caliber Modularity: True to the SCAR family’s hallmark modularity, the FN SCAR 15P allows users to easily swap between .300 Blackout and 5.56x45mm with separately available cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel assemblies. These barrel assemblies come complete with a Picatinny rail, gas block, piston, and other essential components, further expanding the SCAR platform’s versatility.
  • Enhanced Features: The pistol comes with a non-reciprocating charging handle, a Magpul 30-round .300 Blackout magazine, and a .30-caliber flash hider optimized for the projectile. The FN SCAR 15P is available in black or flat dark earth (FDE), allowing you to choose a finish that fits your style.

Versatility and Performance in Every Scenario

Whether you’re looking for an everyday carry option for personal defense or a reliable tool for your next range day, the FN SCAR 15P in .300 Blackout delivers high performance across the board. Its modularity, lightweight design, and reliable FN SCAR operating system make it a versatile addition to any collection. The compact size and adaptable caliber make it the perfect firearm for a wide range of applications, from home defense to tactical training.

FN SCAR 15P Barrel Assemblies

To further enhance its modularity, FN America offers barrel assemblies chambered in .300 Blackout and 5.56x45mm, available through the FN eStore and authorized retailers. These assemblies include cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrels, Picatinny rails, gas blocks, pistons, and muzzle devices, allowing you to swap between calibers with ease. The .300 Blackout assembly even includes the SCAR scraper tool for easy maintenance.

Whether you’re a dedicated SCAR enthusiast or looking for a reliable, high-performance firearm, the FN SCAR 15P in .300 Blackout is an exciting new addition to the SCAR lineup, offering cutting-edge features and uncompromising quality.
