Canik Pistols Now Shipping

Century Arms, the exclusive importer of Canik handguns and accessories, is now shipping a new model in the TP9 series of handguns, a double action / single action polymer 9mm pistol, the TP9DA. The TP9DA is the highly anticipated Canik pistol designed to give shooters the ability to carry a DA/SA style trigger in a modern polymer frame.

“The TP9DA was designed to meet the needs of those carrying everyday for personal defense, law enforcement and competition”, said William Sucher, Century’s Vice President. “We are excited to be able to offer yet another reliable, accurate, and affordable Canik pistol to the U.S. market”.

The TP9DA is an ideal size compromise for concealed carry and a full-size handgun featuring a 4.07″ match grade barrel, a loaded chamber and striker status indicator, and interchangeable backstraps so that shooters of all sizes will be able to operate the pistol with comfort and safety. The TP9DA also features industry standard dovetail sight cuts that hold and set Warren Tactical sights with a dot front sight. The user-friendly decocker system allows users to carry the TP9DA with a longer first trigger pull, similar to traditional hammer-fired pistols. Another attractive feature, for many shooters, is the simple disassembly procedure does not require the user to pull the trigger to take the pistol apart for cleaning and routine maintenance. All users need to do is press the “decocker” button on top of the slide and then proceed with the normal disassembly procedure.

The TP9DA pistols are now shipping and will be available at retailers with an MSRP of $424.99. Offered in black or a “Burnt Bronze” cerakote finish, these pistols are chambered in 9mm Luger and come equipped with two 18+1 magazines, a polymer holster (with both a paddle and belt attachment), interchangeable backstraps, cleaning rod, brush and a limited lifetime manufacturer’s warranty.
