Trijicon Introduces HD XR Night Sights

New for 2017, Trijicon has answered the call for a more precision HD night sight, the HD XR. Trijicon’s HD sights have become increasingly popular amongst concealed carry holders, police officers, and professional shooters. Along with their super strong construction, they offer unparalleled visibility in any lighting condition. Many like the larger front dot, but some still prefer a thinner front post wanting to see daylight on either side. Trijicon’s HD XR maintains the features that have made the HD so popular while allowing for a thinner front sight.

Trijicon’s new HD XR allows for an expanded field of view and a more precise sight picture due to the front sight. Thinner, (.122 inches) it allows for space on either side of a properly aligned front sight, improving accuracy at any range. Smaller, it covers less of the target as ranges extend for increased precision. Retaining the bright orange or yellow ring for immediate visibility it remains fast to target and easy to see under any condition. Capped with a sapphire jewel, tritium lamps provide evenly distributed light for a superior sight picture in low light shooting situations. A steeply hooked front surface on the rear sight continues to facilitate emergency slide manipulation while its wide “U” notch makes it easy to line up the front sight under any condition.

HD Night Sights are designed to excel under the most demanding conditions by placing primary emphasis on faster front sight acquisition. They incorporate enhanced front sight visibility with a de-emphasized rear sight. Upfront, a tritium lamp lies within an extra-large, brightly colored (yellow or orange) dot area that provides a distinctive sighting picture. In addition, special photo luminescent (glow-in-the-dark) powder in the paint aids in faster front sight acquisition during transitional lighting operations. The rear sight uses an enhanced hook to facilitate single-handed slide operation or use under field expedient conditions.

Trijicon’s HD and HD XR tactical sights cover the gamut of sighting needs in most any lighting condition. Using the HD XR makes it easier to maintain precision accuracy without sacrificing the advantage in speed to target. Whether carrying for self-defense, law enforcement, professional or enthusiast the HD XR is another brilliant solution to enhancing the accuracy and real world application of your pistol.
